The Mayor of Nwa, Donga Mantung Division of the North West region of Cameroon was brutally killed on Tuesday November 13 by unidentified armed men, sources have confirmed.
Dr Ngomfe David was killed around 7pm as he was about to embark on a journey but the identity of his killers are not known.
The source however added that he had been threatened on several occasions by armed men in the locality who accused him of helping in the deployment of soldiers in the locality.
Dr. Ngongfe David, a Mayor of Ndu under the ruling CPDM party has been described by villagers as one of the best surgeons the North West region and his death comes as a big blow to the medical corps in Cameroon.
His death is just one of the cruel events in the Donga Mantung Division as over 25 persons have been killed in clashes between security forces and separatist fighters.
