According to a confidential document issued by the Cameroon Ministry of Defence, Anglophone communities in Yaounde are under military surveillance following an alleged infiltration of the city by Ambazonia terrorists and secessionists.

In the document, quarters like Obili, Biyem-Assi, Etoug-Ebe and environs are areas that have been infiltrated by the terrorists and secessionists. The Ministry of Defence has ordered for security reinforcement in the said areas especially between October 1st to 7th; after the presidential election in Cameroon.

Anglophones fleeing violence in North West and South West regions are now seeking refuge in Cameroon’s major cities like Yaounde and Douala.
