Secretary General to the Presidency’s residence attacked, two killed


Security officers have opened investigations to track down armed men who attacked the residence of the Secretary General to the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh on Friday night.

Since Saturday, security has been reinforced at the residence of Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh in Nyom, a neighbourhood in the capital, Yaounde after the gunmen launched an attack just after midnight.

The assailants met with resistance from security officers on guard at the residence which led to a shootout killing at least two of the attackers while the others succeeded to escape.

At the moment, it is difficult to determine the motives of the attack but the judicial police in Yaounde has opened investigations to track those on the run.
